In the main cast, you can see Sharmila Tagore as Kusum Batra returning to the big screen after almost 10 years and her role in the movie was calm and composed. Once again she delivered her best acting to the film after 10 years of gap.

Simran as Indira plays a decent and connecting role throughout the character. Her expressions and acting in this movie is on point. Suraj Sharma as Aditya Batra plays the role of Manoj Bajpayee’s son in the movie, he literally portrayed the emotions of a son toward himself and his dad. Every middle-class son can easily relate to that.

Gulmohar Movie Story

Gulmohar movie is based on a joint family drama and the story begins with a house named Gulmohar where Kusum Batra (Sharmila Tagore), Arun Batra (Manoj Bajpayee), Simran (Indira), Aditya Batra (Suraj Sharma) mainly lives there.

At a family gathering Kusum Batra announces among all the family members that she owns a small house in Pondicherry by selling the house they currently live in.

After that announcement from a senior of their family member which is Kusum Batra. Amongst the family members had conflicts after the announcement of that news. Everyone in the family faces some kind of their own problem whether it’s Kusum Batra or Arun Batra or Aditya Batra.

The story of Gulmohar shows beautifully how a joint family lives together and what kind of disputes they have or what kinds of perks they enjoyed living in a joint family.

Rahul V. Chitella directed Gulmohar Movie estimated budget is said to be 65 crores including the salaries of the star cast.

It is released on 3 march 2023 on the OTT platform Disney+Hotstar and because this movie is not released in theatres so it’s impossible to calculate its earning day by day but we will find out whether this movie is a hit or flop based on its views at the end of two week of its release.

Gulmohar got almost 6.5 million (65 lakhs) views in its opening weekend and is said to be the 10th highest-viewed direct-to-OTT movie.

The film Gulmohar is getting great responses from critics, if the movie hits above 70 lakhs then we can call it a hit, and if it hit the mark of above 80 lakhs then it will be called to be a super hit. Currently, the movie stands at an average level based on its views.
