Devara : Part 1 Movie Review

Devara is an Indian 2024 Telugu language mass action drama film, which is directed and written by Koratala Siva and also jointly produce by Yuvasudha Arts and N.T.R. Arts.

The film staring N.T. Rama Rao Jr. alongside Saif Ali Khan, Jahnvi Kapoor, Shruti Marathe and Prakash Raj.

Devara Movie Cast

Devara movie picks all the veteran actors to perform their respective parts in the film.

In the main lead you’ll see N.T.Rama Rao Jr. in a dual role Devara and vara, devara’s son. The acting and dialogue of N.T.R Jr. was superbly delivered and written. His presence in the movie as a lead was indeed a fantastic idea and his presence made the film globally recognised. Saif ali khan as Bhairava “Bhaira”, he totally nailed his role as a bhaira, his acting, action and expression all the things were on the point.

Janhvi Kapoor as Thangam, Vara’s love interest. Her role is in the movie were quite limited but she’s delivered their best.

Prakash Raj as Singappa and storyteller, powerful acting by him.

There are many more versatile actors were there i.e., Shruti Marathe as Devara’s wife and Vara’s mother, Zarina Wahab as Devara’s mother, Srikant as Rayappa, Murali Sharma as Muruga, Ajay as police officer Shivam, Abhimanyu Singh as DSP Tulasi and many more.

Devara Movie Story

The story starts from a high commission security meeting discussing the security threats to the 1996 world cup that going to be held in India. The whole threats were coming from two brother Daya and yethi, police capture the henchmen of yethi and interrogate him and findout that yethi last seen with Muruga who was a politician cum smuggler of weapons.

After knowing that Muruga is dead, undercover agent approaches DSP Tulasi who told him about the red sea villages, where the policeman met Bhaira and threaten him to smuggle his illegal good through the red sea but Bhaira violently rejects his offer.

In sea side, they found Singappa who takes them off-shore, the officer still tries to make an offer by showing off his diamond ring to Singappa, which is abruptly thrown into the sea by Singappa. As officer dives into the water he finds many skeletons in the seabed and then the real story begins. Singappa starts narrating the story of Devara and the red sea which begins in 1980s.

Koratala Siva written and directed Devara : part 1 movie is being made on the budget of 300 crores and its is released on 27 September 2024 with expected more than 7200 screens in total, 3600 screens in india and approx 3600 screens overseas which is totally based on hype of the movie and craze of actor “N.T.R” in the whole India and worldwide after the movie RRR.

The film is released in the 5 major languages of India i.e., Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. The movie received an U/A certificate. On its first day of release the movies earns Rs. 145 crores worldwide and Rs. 243 crores in second day (Gross). The movie crosses the mark of Rs 250 crores in just 3 days (Gross). The reaction of critics was also positive about the movie and this movie was undoubtedly one of the most anticipating movie of 2024.
