Vikram Vedha is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film, which is written and directed by Pushkar-Gayathri. Pushkar-Gayathri is an Indian filmmaking duo, primarily working for the Tamil industry, and one and only married couple directors in Asia.

This movie is the remake of a Tamil language action thriller film with the same name and is also inspired by the Indian folktale Baital Pachisi. The Tamil version of Vikram Vedha was released on 21 July 2017.

Both the films were directed by Pushkar-Gayathri and the film was produced by YNOT Studios, Theme Studios, Friday Filmworks, Jio Studios, T-Series films, and Reliance Entertainment.

The Hindi remake of Vikram Vedha stars Hritik Roshan, Saif Ali khan and Radhika Apte in the lead role.

The movie has a very talented list of Cast and has big superstars of the Bollywood Industry like:- in lead, Saif Ali khan as Vikram, who is an honest cop. Saif Ali Khan is just playing a tough cop in the movie and yes this role suited him well. His Performance in the film was ordinary.

Hrithik Roshan as Vedha. Talking about Hritik, he is enjoying his role throughout the movie and he is properly under skin of the role of Vedha. You will also enjoy his acting. His look, body language and storytelling were just simply amazing.

Radhika Apte as Priya (Vikram’s wife) plays the role of a junior lawyer. She acted well in this movie but, she has a very limited role in movie.

Vikram Vedha is a story of an honest cop who is assigned to eliminate a dreaded gangster from Kanpur named Vedha Betaal. Vikram has a black-and-white sense of good and evil. He is a very sensible and intelligent cop, and Vedha is a gangster who understands the nuance between good and evil.

In an encounter which is led by Vikram’s friend Abbas, the squad of the police kills some henchmen of Vedha and frames an unarmed criminal killed by Vikram to avoid further investigation. Later Vedha enters the police station and voluntarily surrenders himself. When Vikram negotiates with Vedha, he narrated a story of becoming a dreaded gangster. Later Priya (Vikram’s wife), intervenes and bails him out.

The story of the film contains many short stories and incidents, and whenever Vikram manages to capture Vedha he requested Vikram to listen to another story and then manages to escape.

The film has a very unique storyline and a very fantastic script. A well-written film by Pushkar and Gayathri.

Pushkar-Gayathri directed Vikram Vedha has a huge budget of 175 crores, while Tamil version of this movie was wrapped in a limited budget of just 11 crores, but having a huge budget helps the films to make in a mass scale like its addition to the film better equipment that helps film to be more cinematic and make it look more massive.

The movie was released on 30 September 2022 theatrically. And, after 5 days of its run, this film managed to earn an estimated Rs 78.98 crores till now.

Vikram Vedha has struggled to do well overall, maybe because of a newly released Tamil film named Ponniyin Selvan: l, which was released on the same date.
