Doctor G is a 2022 Indian Hindi language medical comedy-drama film that shows the hilarious struggles and chaos of a doctor who wanted to pursue his career in orthopedics but ends up with becoming a male gynecologist.

This medical comedy-drama movie is directed by Anubhuti Kashyap and produced by Junglee Pictures. The movie stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Rakul Preet Singh, and Shefali Shah in the lead role.

The film Doctor G has many powerful performers like Ayushmann Khurrana as Dr. Uday (Guddu) Gupta. Ayushmann Khurrana is one of the finest actors of Bollywood and once again he proved himself in a role of a male gynecologist. He delivered his best performance with a bang. His acting skills are just effortlessly amazing in the movie.

Now talking about another powerful performer, Shefali Shah as Dr. Nandini Srivastav. Whether it’s a comedy role or a serious role. She never disappoints her fans.

Personally, I’m really impressed by the performance of Shefali Shah throughout her all movies, like her performance in the Netflix release Darling, she effortlessly looks cute as a mother of a lead actress and now in Doctor G, she did a serious role as a senior doctor. It’s really amazing.

Rakul Preet Singh as Dr. Fatima Siddique has an important role in the movie as a love interest of Ayushmann Khurrana and she did it perfectly.

Other than that the supporting actors make the film finer with their acting and with comic timing i.e., Sheeba Chaddha as Shobha Gupta (Uday’s mother), Abhay Mishra as Anubhav Bhosle “Chaddi” (Uday’s best friend), Indraneil Sengupta as Dr. Ashok Gupta (Uday’s cousin brother), Akash Sinha as Jagdish Sahay, Devas Dixit as Pappu Sahu, Paresh Pahuja as Arif Qureshi (Fatima’s fiance), Priyam Saha as Dr. Jenny, Shraddha Jain as Dr. Kumudlatha Pamulparthi Diwakaran, Ayesha Kaduskar as Kavya, Puja Sarup as Nurse Sunita, Karishma Singh as Dr. Ruchi, Anju Gaur as Dr. Bosky, Sharvari Deshpande as Priyanka Singh, Vinod Kumar Jaiswal as Raj Sharma.

Doctor G Story

Doctor G is a movie based on a man named Uday (a medical student) who just cleared his final medical professional exam and wants to pursue a career in orthopedics. His career choice was inspired by his cousin named Dr. Ashok Gupta but in terms of an event, and because of a limited seat in his desirable subject ” Orthopedics”.

He enrolled himself in Gynaecology for his post-graduation. Uday didn’t want to become a gynecologist because of his less interest, so he also prepares himself to secure a seat for next exam in the orthopedic subject.

In the hospital, he is an alone male student who was studying gynecology. All the seniors bullied him, but soon, he become friends of Dr. Fatima and others. In front of his desirable subject, a senior Dr. Nandini Srivastav takes charge of him. She is very strict towards him and very loyal about her profession. After few events, Uday realized what Dr. Nandini and all his friends tries to teach him.

Anubhuti Kashyap directed movie Doctor G has a budget of Rs 35 crores and it is released on 14 October 2022 theatrically.
On its first day of release, the movie manages to earn 3.87 crores.

The film didn’t attract much audience on its first day of release because of its less promotion and on the second day at Box Office, the film saw a jump of 15-30 percent and earns Rs 5.22 crores on Saturday.

After three days of release, the movie earn an estimated Rs 15.03 crore. The movie received positive reviews from critics for its unique story concept.
