Adipurush is an indian historical action movie made in hindi language, which is based on a mythological book name Ramayana, set to release in 2023.

The ,movie is directed by Om Rout and produced under the one of the biggest production house named T-Series and Retrophiles. The film starring pan India superstar Prabhas along with the prominent actress Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan.

The movie Shot simultaneously in the two main languages Hindi and Telugu.

Adipurush Cast

In Adipurush movie, there are many actors and actresses, who literally are the epitome of talent and skills. In the main lead, we can see Prabhas as Raghava (Raja Shree Ram Chandra), playing a role of lord Ram in this movie. We all saw Prabhas in Bahubali and Bahubali 2. But here in this movie, the character of lord Ram not suited him at anywhere in this movie. He is a good actor but not made for playing lord Ram roles.

Alongside with Prabhas, we also have Kriti sanon as Janaki, playing the role of mata Sita in this movie. She acted well but failed to bring grace and strength to the role of mata Sita.

Saif Ali khan as lankesh, playing the role of a Ravana. His acting skills while performing Ravana is just treat to watch but sometimes its looks like batman more than a Ravana.

Sunny singh as shesh playing the role of Laxman, younger brother of lord Rama. Sunny singh is just good for nothing. Anyone can play the role of Shesh better than him.

Devdatta Nage as Bajrang playing the role of Mahabali Hanuman ji. He is good but there is nothing to appreciate him as bajrang and his dialogue as hanuman is super cringe at times.

There are many more actors in Adipurush but they all are just ordinary and non suitable similar as the lead actors of the film. We can see Vatsal Sheth as Meghnath and Sonal Chauhan as Mandodari and Siddhant Karnick as Vibhishana and many more.

Adipurush Movie Story

Adipurush movie, is an attributed to the sage Valmiki’s book Ramayana, narrates the life and adventures of Lord Rama, an incarnation of the Hindu deity Vishnu. Raghava (Prabhas), also known as Lord Rama, embarked on a journey across forests in the Indian subcontinent along with his wife Sita, who is referred to as Janaki, and his loyal brother Lakshmana, who is referred to as Sesh. This journey was a result of Lord Rama’s exile from his kingdom,Ayodhya, due to a series of events orchestrated by his stepmother Kaikeyi.

During their time in the forest, Rama, Sita, and Lakshmana encountered various sages, demons, and mythical creatures, engaging in numerous adventures and battles. One of the most significant events during their exile was the kidnapping of Sita by Ravana, the king of Lanka, also known as Lankesh. Ravana was a powerful demon king with ten heads and a notorious reputation.

Driven by his love for Sita, Rama vowed to rescue her and waged a war against Ravana and his demonic forces. With the help of an army of vanaras (monkey warriors) led by the mighty Hanuman, Rama fought valiantly to free Sita from Ravana’s clutches.

The war, known as the Ramayana war or the battle of Lanka, was a fierce and epic conflict that lasted for several days.

Adipurush Budget & Collection

Om Raut directed mythological action movie Adipurush estimated budget is said to be 500 crores, and it is released on 16 june 2023, with more than 6200 screens worldwide including Hindi, English, Tamil and Telugu languages.

On its first day of release, the movies manages to earn approx 100 crores and the second day of its theatrical run the movie is expected to do more than 100 crores. The reactions of critics is totally negative and audience has also rejected this film as a Ramayana. but regardless of all these fact, movie is expected to do well and secure high numbers on the box-office.

Is Adipurush Worth-Watching?

If you’re still confused for this movie, then I’m here to help you out from this situation.

The movie is totally failed as an attribute of sage Valmiki book Ramayan. The dialogue are totally cringe in this movie at times. The unusable songs between the movie and romancing of mata Sita and lord Rama, just not look appropriate. The VFX are just average, most of the movie scenes are taken on night or under some dusky effects to hide vfx problems.

If you’re free this weekend and wants a movie to watch with your kids and family then you can go and watch this movie, but don’t tell you kids that this is the story of Ramayan, because the story is also twisted by the makers of the film. Just watch it as another movie of Bollywood or Tollywood.
