Captain Miller movie is a 2024 Tamil language epic past action adventure indian film which is directed and written by Arun Matheswaran. This film is first instalment of the planned trilogy, other 2 parts are going to released in future. The film is set on the 1930s, during the British colonial rule.

The film is produced by Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan under the banner of Sathya Jyothi Films. The film starring Dhanush in the main lead and the supporting actors are Shiva Rajkumar, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Aditi Balan and Sudeep Kishan.

The Arun Matheswaran’s directed and written Captain Miller movie had a bunch of versatile and veteran actors of south industry. In the lead you’ll see Dhanush as Analeesan “Easa”(captain miller ), there is no doubt that Dhanush is a very versatile and great actor of the Indian cinema and he literally performed like the one. His expression and aura in the entire film with the background bgm was phenomenal.

Shiva Rajkumar as Sengolan (elder brother of Analeesan), his screen time is limited in the film but one of the finest.

Sundeep Kishan as captain Rafiq (friend of Analeesan) and a captain in British army, limited role but marvellous performance.

Priyanka Arul Mohan as velmathi the female lead of the film, her acting and expression was really nice and she really delivered her best.

There are many more versatile and skilled actors in the movie i.e., Aditi Balan as Shakunthala, Edward Sonnenblick as Andrew Wandy, John Kokken as Prince, Viji Chandrasekhar as Analeesan & sengannan’s mother, Jayaprakash as Rajadhipathi and many more.

Captain Miller Movie Story in brief

Captain Miller movie is set in the 1930’s. Movie starts from a village where Analeesan and his mother was living, the village is ruled by a king under the British raj the king has a strict caste rules for the villagers and the local villager were not even allowed to enter the village’s temple for worshiping.

Analeesan wants to gain respects from everyone because of this caste discrimination and decided to join British Indian army and trained like a soldier but also Analeesan’s brother was leading a revolution against the britisher. At one of the mission, Analeesan along with his friend Sembatta and Rafiq were forced to shoots the freedom fighters and from that day the brand captain miller came into the highlights and became on of the biggest dacoit and rival of the British government.

Arun Matheswaran’s directed captain miller movie is being made on a budget of 50 crores, and it is released on 12 January 2024 with 460 screens in just Tamil Nadu and more than 1500 screens all over.

The movie manages to earn 16.29 crores on its very first day of release and the second day of earning is said to be Rs 14.18 crores and day 3 collection was 15.65 crores and till now the movie manages to earn Rs 90 crores.

The reaction of the critics were also positive because of its action packed drama and a well rounded storyline.
