Jogi Movie Cast

Jogi

The cast of the movie is superbly amazing and the direction of the movie by Ali Abbas Zafar was outstanding. The movie doesn’t contain only a bunch of talented and skilled actors but also featured a world-known Punjabi singer who is also a Sikh, named Diljit Dosanjh.

Diljit Dosanjh was the perfect lead for this movie. We don’t even think that anyone can do better than Diljit himself, perfectly suited for the role of Jogi.

Apart from Diljit, the movie also features Kumud Mishra as Tejpal Arora, MLA who did extremely well in the negative role. Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub as Ravinder, (Jogi’s Hindu friend and a police officer). Md. Zeeshan Ayyub was just phenomenal with his acting skills and facial expressions. Hiten Tejwani as Lali, a police inspector, did an important role in the movie and did justice with the role, believe me, you appreciate him after watching the movie. Apart from the lead, the movie also had Amyra Dastur as Kammo.

Apinderdeep Singh as Sukhi, Paresh Pahuja as Kaleem (Jogi’s Muslim friend), Neelu Kohli as Jogi’s mother, Mikhail Yawalkar as Daler Singh, Mandeep Kaur as Sukhi’s wife, Charu Kumar as Heer (Jogi’s sister), K.P. Singh as Tejinder (Heer’s husband), Noyrika as Shehnaaz (Kaleem’s wife).

Jogi Movie overview

Jogi

If you’re still confused about the movie, I’m here to help you out with this. The movie is packed with powerful performances by their cast and is also inspired by the true incident. So, I must recommend you this movie to know what happened in 1984 with our Sikh brothers.

As per the makers of this film, the film is a work of fiction but also inspired by true incidents of the 1984 Sikh riots. However, senior advocate HS Phoolka claimed that the film is very close to true events. In a series of tweets, he said, “JOGI movie depicts the true picture of those 3 days of 1984 Sikh Genocide. Maybe the makers just want to play safe with their movie that’s why they included this kind of disclaimer that the film is a work of fiction. Maybe it’s totally inspired by only true incident of the 1984 Sikh Genocide.
