Brahmastra: Part One — Shiva
Brahmastra is a 2022 Indian Hindi language fantasy action-adventure film, which is written and directed by Ayan Mukherji. The movie is produced by Apoorva Mehta, Namita Malhotra, Karan Johar, and Ayan Mukherji (in his debut production).
Many big production houses and solo producers put their money into this movie. This movie is also produced by Dharma Productions, Starlight Pictures, and Prime Focus in association with Star Studios, along with Marijke Desouza and Ranbir Kapoor.
The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni.
Brahmastra Cast
The movie has a bunch of great actors and superstars of the Bollywood and Tollywood like Amitabh Bachchan as Guru with a slightly different look, delivered a decent performance in the movie as the guru of all the astra holders.
Ranbir Kapoor as Shiva who is an orphan and an astra holder of the fire element, as we all know Ranbir is one of the finest actors of the Youngers generation of Bollywood but in this movie, he adds more power and aggression in his role in the second half of the film.
Alia Bhatt as Isha (Shiva’s love interest) perfectly suited the role of shiva’s girlfriend, but there is very less thing that we can talk about Alia in this movie. Mainly portray herself as a manic pixie dream girl.
Mouni Roy as Junoon, the villain of the movie. She’s totally amazing in her role as a villain. Nagarjuna Akkineni as Anish Shetty delivered a powerful performance on the screen, I really loved it. Shah rukh khan as Mohan Bhargav, an extended cameo appears in the sky, he’s witty.
And, also does justice to his cameo appearance. All other casts of the movie are also good enough to hold you up throughout the movie.
Brahmastra Storyline
Brahmastra is the story of an Astra who is superior than other astras. A boy named Shiva, a Dj, who felt to be a normal guy. who has a strange connection with the element of fire and fire didn’t burn him and he can also control the fire.
In dreams and panic attacks, he saw something strange that is happening with other people, who is having an attack and killers trying to kill that person. After that, he again had this kind of panic attack and saw in the dream that killers are now trying to kill a famous artist named Anish Shetty who is also an astra holder.
The story revolves around shiva who’s trying to protect the parts of Brahmastra from the queen of dark forces, she is also on a quest to get hold of the Brahmastra. A supernatural weapon that is said to be able to destroy the universe, capable of destroying creation and vanquishing all beings.
Brahmastra Box Office Collection
The film is directed by Ayan Mukherji, and has a budget of over Rs 410 crores. It is one of the most expensive Indian films. The film was released on 9 September 2022 in standard formats. The film received mixed positive reviews from critics.
Its all-India day one collection total stands at Rs 35.75 crore. The highest opening day in history on a non-holiday for an original Hindi film, as per Box Office India. The two-day collection, today now stands at Rs 66.50 crore. As per the box office worldwide, The Movie collected Rs 141.29 crore pan India and Rs 225 crore worldwide till now.

If you’re still not sure about the movie Brahmastra. So I’m here to figure it out for you. This movie is a mythical kind of, in which you can know about the astras, which is mentioned in Hindu mythology, but the dialogues and hollow script and cringes dialogues made this movie hard to watch sometimes.
Bollywood needs some originality, brain and definitely a better script writing. The ASTRAVERSE has a lot of potentials, hopefully, we can see it in the future. If you want to see something new in Bollywood u can give it a try.
Apart from 1 or 2 kissing scenes, it’s completely a family film. You can watch it with your whole family. OTT platform for this movie and release date is yet to be announced.
