The third film of the global superstar Shah Rukh Khan is now in theatre. After Pathan, Jawan now Dunki movie is all set to fire up the theatres. Three big movies from King Khan in just one year.

Dunki movie is 2023 hindi language comedy drama Indian film which is directed and edited by Rajkumar Hirani and the movie is based on a serious topic “donkey flight” illegal immigration technique.

The story of this movie was written by Rajkumar Hirani, Kanika Dhillon and Abhijat joshi. The movie is produced under the banner of Jio studios, Red Chillies Entertainment, Rajkumari Hirani films.

The movie starring Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vikram kochhar and Anil Grover in the lead and Vickey Kaushal in special appearance.

The film by Rajkumar Hirani had always contains many talented and skilful actors, where Boman Irani is constant like Hirani’s previous movie like 3 idiots and PK and now in Dunki movie, Boman Irani was there like always.

In this movie there are many great actors who really performed well. In the main lead you’ll see Shah Rukh Khan as Hardayal Singh Dhillon “Hardy”. He is one of the great actors of the Bollywood and in this movie he once again proved this to everyone but now in closeup he looks little old and seems like he forced himself in emotionally serious roles other than that he is really good.

Taapsee Pannu as Mannu Randhawa, has not suited the role of Manu Randhawa at all and her acting was same like she use to delivers in her all movies.

Vicky Kaushal as Sukhi (special appearance), he is phenomenal actor and his skills were unmatchable. He literally overshadowed the Shah Rukh Khan himself.

Boman Irani as Geetendar Gulati “Geetu”. We all are very well aware about the humour and acting of woman iranni, that why he always has a never changing actors of Rajkumar Hirani’s film. Boman Irani as “Geetu” suited well and performed well by him.

Anil Grover as Balli Kakkad, another great performer and a great act delivered by Anil grover, his humour his emotional scenes and comedy timing all are just perfect.

Vikram Kochhar as Balindar Lakhanpal “Buggu”, whole comedy scenes and humorous scenes of the film were performed well because of this man. The jokes were predictable but his style of presenting that jokes were not. Thats why all the jokes were landed well because of his timing, body language and his expressions.

Apart from them, there are many more talented actors in the film who performed also very well but gets only few scenes i.e., Jyoti Shubhash as Buggu’s grandmother, Suhail Zargar as Mahinder Randhawa (Manu’s brother), Vishnu Kaushal as Gulab Nagra, Mahavir Bhullar as Buggu’s father, Sapna Sand as Buggu’s mother, Gurpreet Ghuggi as a co-passenger at Laltu station and many more.

Dunki Movie Story

The movie starts from London in the year of 2020, where manu Randhawa (Taapsee Pannu) was in a hospital and after few minutes she runs away from the hospital to meet an immigration lawyer and ask him for about her visa and passport but he denied her and tells her there are no way to go back to India again. Then she requests his assistance and tell him to connect her with her ex lover Hardayal Singh Dhillon “Hardy” who lives in Laltu Punjab.

In Laltu, an aged hardy was shocked and ecstatic to receive a call from manu after 25 years, manu ask him to meet her and his two friend from laltu in Dubai so that hardy can bring her and his two friends back to the India through the “donkey route” or “Dunki route”.

This story was belongs to Manu and his two friends Buggu and Balli who wants to migrate to London for a better lifestyle and for earning more money so that they lives peacefully and hardy helps them to migrate through dunki route from India to London.

This were the plot of the movie, but movie contains many twists and turns and delivered a serious message in a effective manner.

Dunki Movie Box Office Collection & Budget

Rajkumar Hirani’s directed Dunki movie is being made on a budget of 120 crores, and it is released on 21 December 2023 with more than 4,000 screens, in comparison prashanth Neel directed movie salaar got 5000 screens and Salaar released date was just one day after the dunki release i.e 22 December 2023. Both film’s genres were totally different from one another.

On its first day of release Dunki movie earns Rs. 29.02 crores in India and Rs. 22 crores in sceond day of its release. The movie earns total Rs 380.60 crores in just 12 days of its release till now.

The reaction of critics was also positive about the movie because movie is based on the real life incident and delivered a strong message to the peoples.
