Ram Setu is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language action-adventure film which is written and directed by Abhishek Sharma and produced by Aruna Bhatia and Vikram Malhotra.

Ram Setu Movie stars Akshay Kumar, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Satya Dev. Nushrratt Bharuccha and Satya Dev follow an archaeological mystery that is also connected with Hindu and Muslim mythology.

The story is about archeologists investigating the nature of Ram Setu, which is also known as Adam’s Bridge.

The movie has many actors who can make this film a blockbuster but sadly they couldn’t. In the main lead, you can see Akshay Kumar as Dr. Aryan Kulshrestha (an archaeologist), he delivered his best work. And, Ram Setu is his 5th movie of the year so, it’s quite impressive.

Jacqueline Fernandez as Dr. Sandra Rebell, Jacqueline is like an eye candy for the film. She only looks good but didn’t perform as we were expecting from her.

Nushrratt Bharuccha as Professor Gayatri Kulshrestha (Aryan’s wife), a decent performance by Nusrratt. As she performed in the side role but she was actually better than the main cast of the movie.

In other casts, you can see Satya Dev as Anjaneyan Pushpakumaran (A P), Anngad Raaj as Kabir Kulshreshtha (Aryan and Gayatri’s son), Shubham Jaykar as Karan Singh, Jeniffer Piccinato as Dr. Gabrielle, Nassar as Indrakant, Pravesh Rana as Project Manager Bali.

The story of this movie starts in Afghanistan. Dr. Aryan Kulshrestha (Akshay Kumar) is a well-known reputed archaeologist. He has renowned atheist archaeologist who is chosen to research Adam’s bridge (Ram Setu) construction and give the verdict on whether it’s man-made or a natural phenomenon.

When he researched about the Ram Setu many people gave their opinion for calling “Maha Kavya” and questioning its existence. He faces people’s wrath for this research. Then a billionaire (Nassar) Wants to use him & his research for his own profit.

He appoints him with every possible thing to do the research. Basically, the movie story is about Ram Setu which is said to be made by the Shri Ram and Lakshman in that period.

The story of the film is quite good but the movie’s VFX work will disappoint you for sure.

Abhishek Dharma’s written and directed Ram Setu movie was released on 25 October 2022 theatrically during Diwali Festival.

The movie has made with a budget of only Rs 150 crores. At the end of 7 days of theatrical run, Ram Setu movie has managed to earn an estimated 71.02 crores.

The movie gets mixed reviews from critics with praise for Kumar and Dev’s performance, and premise while criticism towards the storyline and visual effects.

The OTT right of this film is yet to be announced.
